I recently did a high end wedding at the St. Regis where the
mother of the bride had her own personal stylist flown in to do
everyone’s hair and makeup, money was no object. The wedding
was at 5:30 and I arrived at 1:30 to do getting ready shots.
Everyone was supposed to be done by 3:30 to do photos before the
ceremony. At 4:00 the stylist finally started on the bride.
You can imagine the frustration everyone, including myself, felt
when the stylist finally finished at 5:15!!! Everything ran
late and what should have been a fun and stress free day became
a scene of complete chaos, confusion and stress all caused by
the hair and makeup person! Your hair and makeup artist is a
vital part of your day running smoothly. Within the last 2
years, I have seen an explosion of new hair and makeup artists
